Well-Crafted Tour Questions

Tour groups visit  craft breweries, wineries, and events and are able to enjoy drinks in the consumption-friendly shuttle.

Is there food at the breweries? Occasionally, the breweries on your tour will host food providers from local eateries. In any case, these breweries do allow outside food.

How much time is spent at each place? We spend about 45 minutes to an hour at each stop.

How are the breweries included selected? The breweries on your tour have been selected based on their proximity from each other. This way you spend more time at each destination.

What does my WCT include? Our Well-Crafted Tours will take you on an immersive experience displaying the craft beer scene in the San Gabriel Valley. Each public tour includes transportation in our safe and consumption-friendly shuttle, a knowledgeable and friendly host, stops at 3 breweries, tastings, and, when possible, a tour of the production floor at a brewery.

Can I bring beer on the bus? While you may bring beer on the bus, most of your time will be spent inside breweries in order to experience the local craft beer offerings. If you wish to bring drinks, please limit this to 4 cans (no glass containers) and beer only (no alcohol is permitted). Also, consider that today’s craft beers include a range of alcohol from as little as 4.1% ABV to as much as 11.45% ABV. Crowlers, growlers, and grumblers purchased from breweries on the tour are for consumption after the tour only.

Will there be a cooler on the bus? Yes, a cooler is on the bus.

In what quantities can I order beer at a brewery? Breweries provide the option to order beer in small 4 to 5oz glasses; this is referred to as a taster. If it is your first time at a brewery, many often prefer to order a flight of beer, which, depending on the brewery, includes 4 to 5 tasters. Above the taster, is a pint, which, again depending on the brewery and the beer, may range from 10oz, to 12oz, or 16oz. Now, if you taste a beer you would love to try at home, most breweries offer take-home quantities 4-pack cans or in aluminum can and glass jug containers called bombers, crowlers, grumblers, and growlers. These containers range from 32oz to 64oz. On your tour, your host will happily guide you through these items.

What if someone is over-intoxicated and cannot drive home? If you are intoxicated, Highway Travel Tours, and all participating breweries, reserve the right to end our services. If you are unable to continue with a tour, we will gladly help you request a taxi/lyft/uber ride. Do not drink and drive. Again, do not drink and drive. We strongly encourage using public light rail metro transportation to and from our tours; for this reason, we offer pick up and drop offs at the nearby light rail station for all public tours. Any intoxication resulting in a mess of your making will result in a $50 fee and your tour will end.
